IT Inside Sales Support

Summary: Sells IT-related products and services (i.e., Computer Hardware, Software, Network/IT Infrastructure, VOIP, Professional A/V and Physical Surveillance/Security Systems) to Corporate, Educational and Governmental institutions. The ideal candidate will have outside sales experience and possess a good working knowledge and understanding of Information Technologies utilized in corporate, educational and governmental institutions. Products include PCs, Servers, Routers, Switches, SANs, VOIP and related solutions from HP, Apple, Lenovo, VMware, Microsoft, Cisco, VMware, Barracuda, Fortinet, Citrix, ShoreTel and others.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet Web sites, and other sources.
Qualifies sales leads, explain types of services/products we offer and schedules appointments for face to face meetings/presentations.
Travels throughout Northeast WI to call on regular and prospective customers.
Meets with Clients to identify needs and works with internal A/V and IT Engineering and Design resources to provide solutions that meet those needs.
Prepares sales activity reports including summaries of sales calls, presentations and business transactions.
Prepares quotes and communicates transactions with Engineering, Service, Inside Sales Support, Purchasing, Warehouse and Accounting personnel.
Works with Inside Sales Support personnel to provide timely and accurate quotes and service response to Clients.
Stays up to date with recent technologies by passing and maintaining required Vendor certifications.
Enters new customer data and other sales data for current customers into computer database.
Develops and maintains relationships with appropriate Vendor contacts.
Attends and works trade shows.
Responds promptly to customer inquiries on products and services.
Performs research as needed in order to qualify solution options.
Informs existing and prospective customers of current promotions and new or upgraded products.
Follows up with customers to ensure satisfaction.
Investigates and assists in resolving customer-related issues or problems.
Consistently meets/exceeds assigned sales quota.
Travel: Must have reliable vehicle and be willing to drive to various client sites on a daily basis. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must have current driver's license with good driving history (no more than 2 minor violations and/or 1 major violation within the previous 12 months). Any industry certifications are a plus.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
