Summary:
Provide systems administration (implementation, management and operational support) and technical expertise for assigned systems, including provisioning, installing, configuring, tuning, operating, and maintaining systems software.
Perform troubleshooting and solving of complex software problems as they relate to assigned systems.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
o Experience installing and configuring Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS), and Microsoft SharePoint services.
o Experience installing and maintaining server hardware and peripherals.
o Knowledge of disaster recovery strategies, solutions, and best practices.
o Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to handle numerous projects simultaneously with great attention to detail, urgency, focus and discipline to ensure outcomes meet expectations.
o Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with proven ability to collect and present meaningful system statistics and other metrics.
o Applicable Microsoft certifications.
REQUIREMENTS:
o Associate (2-year) degree or equivalent.
o 3-5
years of increasingly complex and sophisticated systems administration experience with an emphasis on Windows Server 2008 and 2012.
o Knowledge and design experience with virtualized systems (VMWare, Hyper-V, etc.
).
o Experience implementing and supporting virtual desktops using Citrix XenDesktop.
o 2-3
years of problem/incident management and troubleshooting experience within a technology operations environment.
o 3
years of broad systems experience in the following IT areas:
servers, security, web hosting, capacity planning, and performance analysis.
o Experience writing scripts in Microsoft PowerShell.
o Knowledge of NTFS security and inheritance, and the windows registry structure.
o Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and group policy settings and inheritance.
Responsibilities:
o Maintain, monitor and manage assigned software systems to:
establish and maintain environments, storage and security; install and configure software, systems and updates as needed; install, configure and administer server software, services, settings, directories, storage, etc.

o Provide level-2 support for assigned systems.
Serve as an escalation point for specific assigned area of expertise, field technical support questions and issues, and independently provide solutions or collaborate with vendors to resolve issues.
Perform troubleshooting and diagnosis for system failures.
Recommend and implement fixes/improvements to prevent recurrence.
o Develop and implement systems administration operational processes, procedures, and associated documentation.
Ensure that operating systems and related procedures adhere to standards, methodologies and policies.
o Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs.
Ensure appropriate reaction and resolution to issues.
Create, implement, and maintain monitoring and reporting processes (including ensuring appropriate updates, status reports, and usage/performance data is available on an ad hoc and regular basis).
o Research, recommend and implement innovative approaches to system administration tasks with a focus on automation, error reduction and improvements to service.
Regularly and proactively evaluate production issues to identify needs, issues or gaps and implement solutions to improve performance and overall health of the environment.
Additional Details:
Provide technical expertise and oversight to implementation, management and operational support of assigned systems administration function.
This includes execution and oversight of provisioning, installing, configuring, tuning, operating, and maintaining systems hardware and software and the related infrastructure.
Lead, through close collaboration with architectural and operational support teams (internal and external vendor partners), the research, system planning and improvement to enable continuing innovation within infrastructure and technical services.
- Maintain, monitor and manage assigned hardware and/or software systems, to include execution and/or oversight of vendors for the following:
establish and maintain network and user environments, storage and security, and/or end-user computers and other computer peripherals; install and configure software, systems and updates as needed; install, configure and administer server hardware and software, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc.

- Lead and drive definition, implementation and enforcement of systems administration operational processes, procedures, policies and associated documentation.
Ensure that system hardware, operating systems, software systems and related procedures adhere to standards, methodologies and policies, enabling the productivity and effectiveness of employees, clients and vendor partners.
Establish back-up processes, procedures and requirements and provide oversight to ensure compliance.
- Research, identify, and drive the implementation of innovative approaches to system administration tasks with a focus on automation, error reduction and service improvement.
Regularly and proactively evaluate production issues to identify needs, issues or gaps and drive/implement solutions to improve performance and overall health of the environment.
- Oversee daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as back-ups.
Create, implement, maintain and champion best in class monitoring and reporting processes.
Create, implement and maintain a process to ensure appropriate updates, status reports, and usage/performance data is available, on an ad hoc and regular basis.
- Provide level-2 support and serve as escalation point for assigned systems directly and by providing direction and mentorship to more junior members of the technical operations team (both internal and vendor partner resources).
Provide solutions or collaborate with vendors to resolve issues.
Assist in and lead troubleshooting and diagnosis for system failures.
Recommend fixes/improvements to prevent recurrence.
Instruct users in the correct use of equipment or software as required.
- Provide oversight, technical direction, and expertise to other technical members of project and support teams (may include employees, contractors, and /or vendor partners and their resources) to drive strategic initiatives.
Provide governance oversight to ensure adherence to standards, methodologies, policies and procedures.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
