We are searching for 1st shift Quality Technician to help us meet customer needs and quality objectives.
This person will use precision tools and state-of-the-art equipment to ensure the quality and accuracy of machined parts.
Primary duties of this position include:
Operate inspection equipment as needed (micrometers, calipers, various gauges, etc.
) Work closely with operators, fabricators, and machinists to help build a quality product Make sure department equipment is kept in operating order Operate Mitutoyo coordinate measuring machines Assist with programs in place to maintain quality, delivery, and customer service Follow clear work instructions and job routers Read and understand blueprints Understand and complete tasks related to ISO quality requirements Participate in the generation of new ideas to increase quality and productivity through different communication methods Strive every day to make our facilities a safer place to work or visit Keep work area neat and clean Education, Skills, and Experience Required High school degree (technical school training preferred) Custom machining/metal fabricating experience Quality equipment training/experience Special Requirements This position requires the ability to read, write, use mathematical reasoning, make decisions, work independently, stand, walk, lift heavy objects, reach, bend over, clarity of vision and hearing, communicate with others, and work a minimum of 40 hours per week.
