PositionConstruction AssemblerDescriptionJOB OVERVIEWAssembling large/heavy metal structures using hand tools.
The use of tape measures and converting decimals to fractions will also be part of the daily tasks.
The use of ladders, lifts and overhead cranes may also be required.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIESAssembles structures and structure components such as wall panels and roof trusses.
Processes include insertion or positioning of materials, clamping, splicing, fitting parts and use of both hand and power tools.
Ensures that sub-assembled and assembled items meet specific quality specifications and accurate conformance with dimension specifications and print drawingsDemonstrate teamwork by working well with others, helping as needed, and responding positively to constructive feedbackCompleting daily tasks in a timely mannerFollow safe manufacturing practicesPerforms other job duties as assignedPosition RequirementsQUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTSHigh school diploma or equivalent (GED) requiredMust be able to lift 50 lbsMust be able to stand for 8-11 hours per day.
Must be able to ascend/descend ladders frequently.
Must be able to operate general hand toolsMust be willing to assist in other areas when neededMust be able to work in a team environment with Welders/ ElectriciansPREFERRED SKILLSIdeal candidate will have some experience with construction/framing or steel erecting.
Knowledge/experience with blue prints is a plus.
Excellent work attendance and attitude.
